Is Your Site Ready For Google’s New “Mobile Friendly” Requirement?

Posted by on May 19, 2015 in Blog | No Comments

Just a few weeks ago, Google performed another one of their massive updates. This time they are downgrading any site that is NOT Mobile Friendly.

If your site isn’t RESPONSIVE and doesn’t morph to look great on a smartphone, Google is figuring that you are no longer important.

Please don’t take it personally; this is just a Google computer algorithm that is giving you flack.

Fortunately, it’s quite easy to make your site responsive and get back into Google’s good graces. It’s also a good idea because the vast majority of people online now are using phones and tablets.

Ergo, that’s the reason Google made this change. It’s just reality in 2015 that people are looking at your site on an iPhone or Android. If you’re wondering what Google thinks of your website, I am happy to offer a FREE GOOGLE TEST to see exactly how your site does.

I entered a site that is responsive and Google cheerfully called it Mobile Friendly!

Then I entered another site that hasn’t been updated to Mobile Friendly and I received this warning:

  • Text too small to read
  • Mobile viewport not set
  • Links too close together

If your site suddenly isn’t showing up on Google, this may be the reason why. Clearly, the time for updating to a responsive site design is NOW. Making the change is fairly painless. Please get in touch and I will be happy to help.
